Marburg, there shall be no encore (unfortunately)

29 04 2013

So it turns out Molly Malone’s pub in Marburg serves better pints of Guinness than any pub I’ve had the pleasure of frequenting in Belfast. Along with a lovely pint, the pub provided us with a great welcome and a fantastic night.

Thanks to everyone that made it down (beautiful people) and the lovely staff of Molly Malones. Honourable mention to the lovely Erik and Saskia for putting us up.

We aim to be back before the end of the year. Slainte!

New Promo Video for final album track ‘Hospital Bed’

31 10 2012

Well, it’s not being released as a single but Master & Dog have released a video for the final track on their self-titled album. Made by Walter from the band, he insists that if you watch it in the highest quality available on youtube as opposed to the player below, you’ll actually see him singing it. I don’t believe him but hey, why not look for yourselves.

Canada Video

Presenting the long awaited video for Master & Dog’s new single ‘Canada’. Jobs a goodun!

Forfey and Seven Summits.

7 08 2012

That was some weekend! Forfey Music Festival provided Master & Dog with another chance to try out some of the new material on their forthcoming, self-titled album.

‘Master & Dog, one of the most consistently good live bands on the island, play a selection of new tunes as well as key tracks from their first album, with ‘Heavyweight’ and ‘Canada’ being some standout songs from not only their set, but the whole weekend.’  - Stevie Lennox (AU Magazine)

A great time was had by all. Forfey is consistently one of the best festivals in Northern Ireland. A true music lovers festival. Fair play to the all the crew and the Minford family for putting the whole thing on.

In other news, this Thursday sees the release of the new Seven Summits album, which was recorded and mixed by Master & Dog’s very own Phil d’Alton. Not only that, but Master & Dog will be one the bill for the night so make sure you get down and hear all the new tunage on offer! Arc Royale and Heritage Centre are also on the bill. A night not to be missed!
